THE VINEYARD:
This wine has perhaps the best price quality ratio of the Leymarie-Ceci
Domain, which is situated on the Vougeot municipality. It comes from
vines that are more than 50 years old, located in front of the Clos
de Vougeot, on the other side of the road from Dijon-Beaune, on clayey
and limestone marls.
Its wines are exclusively made of Pinot Noir, the noble grape variety
found in all the vineyards that produce great red Burgundy wines.
THE WINE:
The wine-making process follows the same rules as those used in the
production of the Domain's most prestigious wines: manual harvest, maceration
"à froid" (in a cold state) in stainless steel vats with temperature
control, long traditional vatting, and maturing in a vat made of oak
(min. 18 months).
It is fresh Burgundy wine, fruity and aromatic, and can be enjoyed
on any occasion, with a meal or by itself. Drink it all year round,
even in summer, at cellar temperature.
